Welcome Get Shot By Tate!
Since you MUST know about me...... I'll talk about what kind of photographer I am. I'm the kid who hated traditional crap. I hated the concept of doing wedding photography. I wanted to do high fashion and naked people - and that WAS IT. Fast Forward to ten + years later....... I'm doing weddings, naked people (but it's always tasteful..... or at least I think it is) and I do SOME traditional stuff. I like to think my traditional stuff is twisted. Ok, it's not traditional. Call it what you want to call it, but I don't like the WORD - traditional. My wife does. She's twisted traditional. My work is my work. I don't like rules. It's hard for me to play by the rules when I'm doing photography. I think that's what keeps it so fun for me. I tell the parents of my senior shoots that I dislike cap and gown shots (was I supposed to do that?) but I still do them because I know they love those. ;-) I think you get the drift of what kind of photographer I am. I may think I'm way more radical than I am, but let me think I'm just ubercool and not traditional. Okay?

I met Ashley and Chris when I shot her brother's wedding last year, or was it two years ago? Time just flies by way to fast! They were such a sweet couple and just bunches of fun - so I was thrilled when Ashley emailed me wanting to book me right away stat for their wedding this coming November. We're going to have so much fun.

This is the engagement session where I went out to downtown Baton Rouge to meet up with them and I FORGOT MY CAMERA! Yes, me, Tate Tullier.... of Tate Tullier Photography, forgot... people, I FORGOT MY CAMERA!?

FIRST. TIME. EVER.

Talk about weird. At first I was so embarrassed when I had to let them know I FORGOT my camera for their photo shoot. Sarah said that it was because I was so excited to meet up with them :D Sadly, when we turned around to go back to the house in Gonzales - I realized, more than anything else - I was just too busy. Way too busy. My mind at that time had 1,000 things going on (and it still does, but that day - it was just.... too much.....) - and I just kept telling myself over and over, "Ok, Tate... this is silly. Don't you EVER forget your camera again!" I think I was in a "shocked" state for that entire weekend over the fact that I FORGOT MY CAMERA.

Back to Ashley & Chris - that hour we shot, I FORGOT THAT I FORGOT MY CAMERA EARLIER. :D They were nothing but EASY to shoot - they're both so photogenic, and I just can't wait until their wedding day. Beautiful peeps.

Thank you Ashley & Chris for having me do all these special shoots/the big day coming up. It's an honor....

AND I WON'T FORGET MY CAMERA ON YOUR WEDDING DAY. K?

Ah, another wedding completed! It feels so good to be on such a good roll these days being back HOME for more than just a few days in between jobs.

Brian and Brooke have just become great friends of ours. Brian always was a great buddy I always enjoyed being around & he came to our wedding in 2004. Brooke was always a sweetheart to be around and had hired me before for a session. Fast Forward to 2009, they were both living in Baton Rouge for work and we four just became closer & I miss having them close by. Since then, they've moved off to Austin and when they decided to get married - they ended up choosing Vegas as their destination!

I was their photographer and I was nothing but honored as per usual.

We had such a great time with old friends and them hopping around Vegas for a few "24/7" days. By the time it was all over with, my liver just couldn't handle it any longer!

In Vegas, many venues don't allow you to hire outside photographers so Brooke made sure she found one who would allow her to do so - that itself is a huge compliment and a big testament to those who really put value into what I do for them through my photography.

We got so many awesome memories captured. Thanks to everyone around for being the life of the party. The families were all very sweet to Sarah & I. We miss you all!!!!! (but my liver doesn't)

Here are some of my favorites captured on their wedding day!

Heather has always enjoyed my work having hired me beforehand years ago at Gallaudet. She got in touch with me a few years ago and said she and Ben had gotten engaged! We did their engagement session last April in 2009, then da da da - their wedding was this recent June. We had so much fun over the course of three days hanging out, having some boozy nights, and great company!

I loved being around their families. The entire DANS hood hired me separately for their own family sessions, so that was even more income for me to bring in on this job. Talk about a plus.
We had a ball.

Here below are some of my flat out favorite shots from their wedding day! I feel like I did it all over again by just looking at these.

And by the way, Heather - I'm still hungover from a margarita overdose. ;-)

Thank you both for having me shoot your big day!

Gotta agree with my brother. The entire four days in Temecula was the first vacation in a good number of years for us and just for that one day to be photographed by you, tells the world how much a blast we had. Awesome, awesome.

TIME TO LOOK INTO THE FUTURE.....

Ok, it's time. No more Mr. Nice Guy for you all. Haha :D No, not really! As much as I'd love to keep my prices remain the same ~ it was just time for me to amp it up for me and increase my prices to help my business grow into an even better one. The costs of equipment keep rising. The demand for my art has risen so much in the last year, and I am so grateful for that.

So many people claim, "That's all?" after I state my rates - and I always took pride in that because I could offer such great work at a low price. My increase in prices are still very reasonable and great for what I can offer you, the customer. I have decided to go up from $100 to $150 (still at up to three people), and push down the 36 shots to 24 shots in order to focus on the "best of the best" shots. As many of my clients who keep returning to me, can see - I'm drowning in edits and not very happy with my turnaround pace. This change will help me do quicker edits and a faster turnaround pace for those who are always needing photos for certain things (holiday photos, baby announcements, and so forth) within a certain time frame.

Senior sessions are now $400 for 50 shots and you/or your teenager can do four outfits (not including the cap/gown if you want to do those). Most sessions take up to two hours, and I look forward to doing them! I have already booked three local seniors and am excited about pushing the envelope and creating amazing shots for them/you (the parents) to have for your memories. You still get a CD with high resolution files in both color and black/white.

Bridals are now $350 for 50 shots and you get those portraits edited in both color and black/white. CD with high resolution files given to client.

Engagement sessions are the same price as a "local session" at $150 for 24 shots. CD is given to you with high resolution files in both color and black/white.

Local Sessions are now starting at $150 for up to three people. Any additional person is an extra $15.  24 shots will be edited in both color and black/white. You get a CD with the high resolution files. This pertains to the Ascension parish / East Baton Rouge Parish areas.

Out of City / State sessions are now at $200 for up to three people. Any additional person is an extra $15.  24 shots will be edited in both color and black/white. You get a CD with the high resolution files. This pertains to the people outside of the Ascension parish / East Baton Rouge Parish areas.

As of now my wedding rate remains the same - $2,200. In the near future, I will be creating different packages (but the $2,200 is still the beginning price) so I can cater to different requests I've been getting. For more details for my current wedding package, please email me.

I am looking forward to the holiday season coming up and all the amazing shoots I'm about to do. I am booking up pretty quick so please do contact me to pencil in your appointment. I look forward to creating some amazing art for you to put into your home and your life.

Thank you again for everything. I certainly aim to please you more than anything else. I continue to think of ideas. I continue to think outside of the box. I want to create interesting and magnificent photos for you.

Good deal- your clients get a better turn around, quicker results and you'll be able to keep a balance between scheduling due to the rates. GOOD LUCK and I'm so proud of you and grateful for your clients! :)
